DragonBox Vol 1 DVD Set (FUNimation)

So uh, lets just right into this...

The back of the box...

The piece of paper that was stuck onto the back cover...

The DVD Book... (I don't know if it's cause my scanner was dirty or that it was a reflective surface that made these scans look like shit. I windexed the glass on the scanner but it still looks dirty.)

The back of the DVD book...

A look at FUNimations version and the Japanese version side by side. If you couldn't guess, the tiny ones are the Japanese DVDs. (I took those Japanese DVD pics from Kanzentai.com)

So it seems only two images are the same. Eh, I don't mind. I kinda like what FUNimation put there instead.

The Dragon book cover...

I didn't wanna scan the pages in the book cause I didn't wanna ruin the spine or anything. So I took some snap shots...

The wording of most of this stuff is in such a Japanese style, this has to be translated from the original book. Anyone know for sure?

Holy shit, there is a wall of images and I didn't even get to the actual DVDs.

Now, I'm pretty sure the Japanese menus move. Meaning it's part of an episode playing behind the scouter. Can anyone confirm this? In these, it's just one image. Still, I'm not complaining, just saying...

Setup...

Episode select (disc 1)...

Episode select - screen 2 (disc 3)

If you choose to watch the dub, there isn't any opening or closing credits, it just plays the Japanese version. Instead the dub credits scroll up at the very end of the disc...

DVD credits...

Random screen shots, cause we don't have enough!

Comparison shots...

And thats about it. :D

V-Jump November 2009 Issue

So my November issue of V-Jump just arrived. The cover...

These magazines always come packed with cards or stickers or some other cool crap. This time around we get a Krillin card...

An ad for the DragonBall Kai DVD\Blu-ray...

It came with a little bookltet of stragities for the Dragon Battlers game but, it's mostly text and little pictures, totally not worth scanning. The cover for the booklet is pretty neat though. Yes, that is Super Saiyan 3 Broly...

Awesome, a two page spread of a newly drawn Ginyu Force... Yes, I know it don't line up exactly right but for it to come out perfect I'd have to rip these pages out! Shocked

That Ginyu Force spread seemed to be an intro page to these two pages wich were about well, the Ginyu Force in Dragon Ball Kai...

Hey more Ginyu stuff! This is an ad for various Dragon Ball products...

Things I didn't scan: A few pages about Dragon Ball Raging Blast. It seemed boring. Also the fake Ginyu Force that reviews new products and movies, my scanner was having a hard time with these for some reason. Something about it thinking each panel was a different image to scan even though I've hightlighted the whole page... Whatever. So yea thats it, hope you enjoyed it.

V-Jump September 2009 Issue

A lot of people have noticed that the September issue of V-Jump is pretty Dragon Ball heavy. Just look at this cover art! I love classic Vegeta!

As you know V-Jump comes packed with a bunch of goodies. This month I got a Vegeta card for the Dragon Battlers game (which I'll never play)...

...A pencil board that seems to be promoting something called Small Grade figures. The last time I got a pencil board was in 1998!

Oh, and some stickers! Haha, I felt like a child getting excited over Dragon Ball stickers...

This Dragon Battlers game seems to be all over the place, is it really that popular? This issue came with a little booklet showing off some new cards, tactics and strategies... I really don't think anyone here is into it. I just like the new art that comes out for it.

There is an article here explaining the Small Grade figures in better detail. A golden Nappa? (Ok, so it's not really golden...) but what's with that silver Goku head? I think I'd like them more if they were in color.

A two page Raging Blast article...

The screen shot in the upper left caught my eye, here is a zoomed in version. I'm guessing its the level\mission select screen...

And of course... this comic. Some people here really like these, I guess if I understood them I'd understand...

And finally an ad for that DragonBall Wii game...

And that should cover every DragonBall related article\ad in this issue. The only thing I didn't include was an article about the DragonBall Wii game.
